I had the privilege of attending the 2025 Xcel Annual Summit hosted by Xcel Mentoring. It was an inspiring event that showcased the impactful work happening in our community.
Xcel’s mission centers on imparting young people with life skills and career opportunities in the trades, and this summit proved just how powerful that mission truly is.
Outstanding Recognition
A highlight of the summit was the recognition of two outstanding Students of the Year. In a remarkable tie, both students were each awarded a $2,500 scholarship. The four remaining nominees didn’t go home empty-handed either. Each received $300 in recognition of their achievements. These awards reflect Xcel’s commitment to empowering the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
Heartfelt Moments
The event featured heartfelt remarks from Thomas Rivera and his wife, Maribel. Their words added a personal touch to the evening and underscored the deep impact this work has on families and communities.
